What we do
Kennet Aviation primarily specialises in the restoration of historical aircraft, and the maintenance of UK Permit to Fly Aircraft.
Holding BCAR A8-21, 23 and 25 certifications, our capabilities range from all reverse engineering design work tasks, simple and complex, to the restoration, maintenance and continuing airworthiness management of all Non-Part 21 Aircraft.

Here at Kennet Aviation, we have state-of-the-art machining equipment, utilising all available resources to reverse engineer parts essential for aircraft restoration, and all other non-aviation related machining requirements. Our advanced technology and skilled craftsmanship enable the precise recreation of components, ensuring historical accuracy and functionality. One of our proudest ongoing achievements was restoring the majority of a Mk. XV Supermarine Seafire, SX336. This historic aircraft, now owned and operated by Navy Wings at RAF Yeovilton, showcases our dedication to preserving aviation heritage. Our team has ensured that every detail aligns with its original specifications. We continue to service and maintain this remarkable aircraft, ensuring it remains in optimal condition. This project not only highlights our technical prowess but also our commitment to honoring the legacy of British Aviation, enabling it to inspire and educate future generations.
We specialise in the restoration of Supermarine aircraft, bringing these historic planes back to their former glory with unparalleled expertise. Our current ongoing project focuses on another Mk. XV Supermarine Seafire, SR462. The accompanying picture showcases the fuselage and the powerful Griffon VI engine, highlighting the intricate work involved in this meticulous restoration.
